In this talk, TEDx speaker and social entrepreneur Katya Carvalhão will share how simple, accessible technology helped turn small ideas into initiatives that reached thousands of people.
From building an education project for children in Uganda to mobilising a volunteer network that supported around 13,000 people affected by the war in Ukraine, Katya has spent more than 15 years working at the intersection of education, technology and social impact.
Today, she leads Youth Line Family, an international network of youth organisations across Europe, and works with around 1,000 young people every year through Erasmus+ and international mobility programmes. Now AI is giving individuals and small organisations capabilities that once required much larger teams, budgets and expertise.
Through real stories, successes and lessons learned, this session explores a simple question:
If ordinary people could already create extraordinary impact with basic technology, what can we create now with AI?
