foundercal is a directory. It sells nothing, runs no ads, and does not sell or share your data. The sections below list every place where the site touches personal data. Questions and requests go to [email protected].

Who is responsible

Lukas von Kunhardt, Berlin, Germany, is the controller for the data described here. Full name, postal address and legal details are in the imprint.

Hosting and delivery

The site runs on a server in Germany, rented from Hetzner Online GmbH. Cloudflare sits in front of it as a CDN and terminates TLS, so Cloudflare processes the IP address of every request. The web server writes an access log (timestamp, path, status, referrer, user agent, IP address). We use it to debug problems and to count aggregate usage, including how often AI assistants read our pages. Logs are deleted after about 30 days.

Analytics

Weekly digest (newsletter)

If you subscribe to a city digest we store your email address, the chosen city, the IP address of the signup and timestamps. Subscription is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm. Mails are delivered through Resend. Every issue contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the mails immediately. To have your data deleted entirely, use the unsubscribe link or email us.

Accounts and event submissions

Accounts exist only for posting and managing your own events. Login works with a magic link sent to your email address; a session cookie keeps you signed in. For a submitted event we store the event content you provide, including uploaded images, and publish it. You can edit or delete your events at any time from your dashboard.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to processing. Email [email protected] and we will handle it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
