A recent report from The Information revealed that partners from Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures have traveled to China to study the country’s AI, robotics, advanced manufacturing, autonomous driving, and supply-chain ecosystems. Founders Fund partners visited technology companies across Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, while Khosla Ventures partners have made similar trips over the past two years.
Why?
Because understanding what is happening in China is increasingly becoming part of understanding what happens next in technology.
And nowhere is that more visible than Shenzhen.
I’m incredibly excited to announce our first-ever BFC Innovation Mission to Shenzhen.
This is not a typical company tour. It’s a curated seven-day deep dive into Shenzhen’s Physical AI ecosystem—from category-leading companies and emerging technologies to the founders, engineers, talent, components, manufacturing capabilities, and supply chains powering the next generation of Physical AI.
Just days after our mission, Shenzhen will host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on November 18–19, 2026, bringing global leaders and attention to one of the world’s most important technology and manufacturing hubs.
Right before APEC, we’re bringing together a highly curated group of leading VC/PE investors, family offices, founders, and technology leaders to experience Shenzhen’s innovation ecosystem firsthand.
Our goal is simple:
Don’t just see the products. Understand how they are built.
We want to go behind the scenes to understand how Shenzhen connects AI, robotics, hardware, talent, manufacturing, components, and supply chains—and why it has become one of the most important places shaping the future of Physical AI.
Silicon Valley × Shenzhen.AI meets the physical world.
