Healthcare AI Hackathon

Join OpenAI, AWS, JPM, Troutman Pepper, Pear VC, NEA, and Cathay Innovation for a one-day healthcare AI hackathon bringing together engineers, clinicians, researchers, designers, and founders to build products that solve real problems across health.

Why Attend?

  • 🏆 Compete for up to $5,000 in first/second/third place cash prizes, advisory meetings with leading healthcare AI operators and industry sponsors, and 1:1 pitch opportunities with PearX, NEA, and Cathay

  • 🚀 Connect with leaders from OpenAI, AWS, Stanford Medicine, J.P. Morgan, and leading VC-backed healthcare startups

  • 🤝 Meet investors, founders, and operators shaping the future of healthcare

  • 🏥 Collaborate with clinicians, engineers, researchers, designers, and entrepreneurs

  • 💡 Build something with real-world healthcare impact

  • 🌟 Demo your project to an audience of industry leaders and innovators

  • Food and drinks will be available

Presented by Pear VC · NEA · Cathay Innovation

Healthcare is the largest industry in the world, yet much of its infrastructure still runs on fragmented software, manual workflows, and administrative overhead. Recent advances in foundation models and AI agents have created an opportunity to rethink how healthcare is delivered, from the clinician desktop to the insurance back office to the patient experience.

Life sciences is entering a similar inflection point, as advances in foundation models, biological data, and increasingly automated experimentation begin to reshape how we understand and engineer biology. From target discovery and molecular design to clinical development, AI is creating new ways to compress the traditional drug development cycle and build entirely new categories of therapeutics and research tools.

Throughout the day you'll work directly with venture investors, startup founders, physicians, and operators who spend every day building healthcare companies.

Teams will leave with relationships, recruiting opportunities, and potentially the foundation for their next startup.

Whether you're already building in healthcare or just discovering the space, you'll spend the day working on problems that matter.

What Should You Build?

Build something that meaningfully improves health.

We're less interested in incremental AI wrappers and more interested in products that unlock new capabilities, create new business models, or solve long-standing problems across the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem.

Some areas we're especially excited about include:

🧬 Care Delivery & Clinical Innovation

  • Build AI that makes care more accessible, personalized, and effective, from diagnostics and specialty care to home-based care, clinical trials, robotics, and entirely new models of care delivery.

🏥 Healthcare Infrastructure & Financing

  • Build AI that fixes the systems behind healthcare, improving how care is financed, administered, coordinated, and delivered across providers, payers, employers, marketplaces, and supply chains.

🔬 AI × Life Sciences

  • Build AI that better predicts what will actually happen in biology, using richer, multi-compartment data to model real-world outcomes such as toxicity, delivery, efficacy, and clinical trial endpoints rather than focusing only on molecular binding.

These are examples, not constraints. If you have a compelling idea that improves healthcare, feel free to build it because we want to see it!
