Hello LV Robotics!

Robotics is entering a new phase.

The question is no longer only, “Can we build a robot?” The harder question is, “Can this robot learn a specific job and perform it reliably in the real world?”

Foundation models are giving robots broader capabilities in perception, reasoning, language, and action.

But a general model does not automatically make a robot useful at a customer site. Every deployment has its own environment, workflow, constraints, edge cases, and task skills that the robot must learn.

Our next LV Robotics event will explore how robots move from impressive prototypes to productive workers: how they are trained, tested, adapted, validated, and improved for specific jobs.

We will discuss foundational models, task-specific training, simulation, demonstrations, teleoperation, real-world data, failure recovery, and what it takes to make a robot useful after it leaves the lab.

The central question is: How do we teach a generally capable robot to perform a specific job in a specific environment?

A prototype proves what may be possible.

A productive robot performs useful work safely, reliably, repeatedly, and economically.

Join LV Robotics as we bring together robot builders, AI researchers, engineers, founders, operators, and deployment teams to discuss what it really takes to teach robots the work.
