Steve Hilton is the Republican candidate for Governor of California. He advanced from a crowded primary with more than 2.2 million votes and is now taking on career politician Xavier Becerra in the general election.
Steve was born in London, the son of Hungarian immigrants who fled communism in search of freedom and opportunity. From a working-class background, he made it to Oxford University and went on to a career at the highest levels of business and government, including serving as senior advisor to British Prime Minister David Cameron.
After immigrating to the United States and making California his home, Steve taught at Stanford University, built several businesses, hosted Fox News’ The Next Revolution, and founded Golden Together, a movement for common-sense reform in California. He is the author of More Human, Positive Populism, and Califailure.
