What if your data pipelines could build, test, and fix themselves, and your data engineers could focus on the problems that actually need a human?
Behind every Rivian vehicle, dashboard, and decision sits a data platform processing massive volumes of data every day. In this session, we'll take you under the hood of our Data Platform: how it's architected on Databricks, Unity Catalog, and dbt, how our data engineering practice is organized, and the design choices that keep it scalable, governed, and reliable.
Then we shift gears. We're building a team of AI agents that handle data engineering end to end, from understanding requirements and writing pipelines to testing, deploying, and troubleshooting them. This isn't a polished demo of a finished product. It's an honest look at a system in its final stretch of development: the architecture, what's working, what surprised us, and what it really takes to hand the wheel to autonomous agents. Join us to see where data engineering is heading, trade ideas with engineers building it, and get an early look at the road to self-driving data.
