NY Tech Meetup has been running since 2004 and the format has never changed: six to eight New York companies get on stage and demo working product, live, to a packed room, then everyone argues about it over drinks. It runs monthly at Civic Hall on Union Square: this edition lands on the Monday of Climate Week and puts climate-tech teams on the stage, with the following sessions on 12 October and 9 November. Applying to demo is open to any NYC company with something working, and getting picked is one of the cheapest pieces of distribution in the city.
