Monad Metropolis is Monad's flagship global hackathon - six weeks, online-first, $250,000 in prizes. This is the London hacker house: one day at Encode Hub to meet other builders working on Metropolis, get your questions answered, and put real hours into your submission.
Metropolis runs 1 September to 13 October. Wherever you are in that window, still shaping an idea, looking for teammates, or deep in the build, this day is for you.
What to expect
Morning: around two hours of talks and workshops. A technical session run by Monad's engineering team, plus speakers on the things that decide whether a hackathon project becomes a company, go-to-market, fundraising, business model, community and hiring.
Rest of the day: coworking. Desks, fast wifi, coffee, and mentors on the floor. Come with a team or find one here.
The Tracks
Onchain Finance & Trading - asset primitives and market infrastructure that only work with fast settlement.
Consumer Products & Payments - crypto that doesn't feel like crypto. Social payments, salary streaming, programmable gifts.
Social, Attention & Culture - open social graphs, attention markets, generative art, competitive feeds.
Trust, Identity & AI Infrastructure - primitives for an AI-native internet. Proof of personhood, content passports, data lockers.
Prizes
$250,000 total. $30,000 overall winner, $30,000 per track, plus 20+ sponsor bounties from Dynamic, Privy, Perpl, Nansen, Chainlink, Agora, Kuru, MetaMask and others.
Who should come
Developers, designers and founders building on Monad, or curious about it. Solo builders welcome; teams form on the day. You don't need prior Monad experience, but bring a laptop.
Registration is free and capacity is limited.
Register for Metropolis itself at hackathon.monad.xyz, this event is a London meetup during the build window, not a substitute for entering.
