A robotics startup, a maker project, pizza, drinks - and plenty of time to talk robots 🤖🍕
For this edition, we're bringing together talks with two different backgrounds: a startup building autonomous systems, and a hacker/maker showing what you can build when you just start experimenting!
We'll be hosted by codecentric, who are also taking care of pizza and drinks for the evening!
What's on the menu?
1️⃣ Building Autonomy at Nouma Speakers: Leon Seidel, CTO & Christopher May, CEO - Nouma Autonomy Leon and Christopher will give us a look at what Nouma is building, why they started the company, and where they want to take it.
The main part will be technical: we'll dig into the systems, software, and engineering behind their approach to autonomous robotics. But we'll also hear some of the startup story around it - what problem they're solving, where they see the market going, and what's next for Nouma. A good chance to see both sides of building a robotics company: the technology and the business around it.
2️⃣ Robotics from the Maker Side Speaker: Karim Kohel - karimkohel.com For the second talk, we're switching gears completely. Karim will bring along one of his maker projects and show us what he's been building, how it works, and what he learned along the way. No startup pitch, no big industrial system - just hands-on engineering, experimentation, and the kind of project that usually starts with: "I wonder if I can build this..." Startup meets hacker/maker - which feels like a pretty good combination for a robotics meetup.
