You keep seeing founders build lean teams with AI, where 1 person gets through the work of 5.
So you've tried it, and asked your team to use it. But they still work the way they did before, AI gets a lot of it wrong, and you're still doing too much yourself.
Now you're wondering: are we using AI wrong, or should I just hire someone?
🚀 We've brought in 2 Iterative-backed founders who run lean teams with AI, to share what they hand over to AI and what they still do themselves.
Raymond Yeh runs Synscribe, which helps B2B companies get found on Google and in ChatGPT. Every client gets its own AI agent, and he signed 7 customers in under 3 months with a team you could feed with 1 pizza.
Jingjing Zhong co-founded Superbench, whose AI runs a service business's WhatsApp sales right through to the booking. It's in Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia. Before the AI worked properly, she was the AI herself, fixing conversations at 3 AM for her 1st 5 clients.
Stuck between hiring and getting more out of AI? Spend an evening with them and a room of founders in the same spot.

Raymond Yeh (Founder @ Synscribe & Agent Mole)
Raymond worked at GovTech on OpenCerts and TradeTrust, then co-founded Bluejay Finance as CTO, and it raised $2.9M in 2022.
In Jan 2025 he started Synscribe on his own, after friends saw how he got customers organically and asked for his help. He's since built a team around it.
Each client's AI agent handles the keyword research, landing pages and blog posts. AI doesn't always have taste, though, so he turns the judgment of experienced people into playbooks his agents follow. His new product, Agent Mole, does the SEO work but waits for a person to approve anything before it goes live.
Jingjing Zhong (Co-Founder & CEO @ Superbench)
Jingjing moved from China to the US at 17, studied at UC Berkeley and worked in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey. She then joined Helpling in Singapore, one of the country's largest home services companies, and rose from Head of Operations to Managing Director.
Today Superbench's AI handles sales for cleaning, aircon, pest control, tuition and aesthetics businesses in Singapore, Australia, the UAE and the UK.
She's building for a 2030 where a service business can do $5–10M a year with a team of 3: AI closes the speed gap, and people still close the trust gap.

The Runway Ventures is a weekly newsletter that helps founders and operators get sharper by learning from other people's mistakes. Every Sunday you get 1 failed startup story, 2 mistakes, and 3 lessons you can actually use, all for free.
We've broken down the ones everyone still talks about: Style Theory, eFishery, TaniHub, Kaodim, Fusionex, Privé, and Oriente. Today 84,000+ founders, operators, and investors across Southeast Asia follow us.
We also run Beyond Runway, a private, vetted community of founders doing $100K–$20M a year, so you stop making $1M decisions alone. Every month: a handpicked warm intro in your inbox, and a seat at a curated dinner (6 founders, 1 table, 1 topic) — We call it Circle. It's the heart of Beyond Runway.
