Up to twenty finalists pitch on the opening day of Singapore FinTech Festival, in front of the regulator that runs the programme and the banks that set the problem statements: this year GXS, Julius Baer and Zurich Insurance, on AI for credit and fraud risk, digital-native wealth, and SME risk tools. Each finalist gets a S$20,000 travel stipend and the winners take S$80,000 per problem statement plus a real shot at a pilot. It is the one part of SFF where early-stage founders are the product rather than the audience. Worth watching even if you did not apply: the shortlist is a good read on what MAS thinks is next.
