A co-founder matching evening from Tech Launchpads at the Middle Eight Hotel in Covent Garden, explicitly open to technical and non-technical people, academics included, and to people who do not yet have an idea.
Why go: the no-idea-required framing is the useful part - most matching events quietly assume you arrive with a pitch, which filters out exactly the technical people everyone is looking for. Best for anyone who wants to start something and needs the other half of the team first.
