FiBAN is organizing a delegation trip to Texas for a select group of members and partners of the network. The trip takes us to Austin and Houston to explore the local startup and investment ecosystem through a packed program of accelerator visits, innovation hubs, meetings with local investor networks, and shared networking activities.
The main goal is to gain firsthand insights into the Texan startup ecosystem and strengthen international connections between founders, investors, and ecosystem players.
Participation fee: €750 (member price) The fee includes the organized program and bus transportation for local visits and between Houston and Austin. Participants book their own flights and accommodation — we recommend traveling during the weekends before and after the program. FiBAN has reserved hotel room allocations, and more details will be shared with registered participants.
Please note that the program is still preliminary, and FiBAN reserves the right to make changes. We will confirm the latest before Midsummer, if enough participants have registered for the trip to happen - please wait until that before booking your flights.
Monday, September 14, Houston: Reception at the Finnish Consulate in Houston — official kick-off of the study trip and introduction to the local ecosystem.
Tuesday, September 15, Houston: Rice University & accelerators. Transportation to Austin.
Wednesday, September 16, Austin: Ecosystem visits TBA, evening program/dinner
Thursday, September 17, Austin: Ecosystem visits TBA, evening program/dinner
Friday, September 18, Austin: Ecosystem visit and a wrap-up lunch.
Payment & cancellation: Payment is collected at registration via Luma. Please note that tickets are non-refundable, but participation can be transferred to another person.
