Bio: Jason Ma is the co-founder of Dyna, which he started with Lindon Gao and York Yang in 2024. Dyna's pushing the boundaries of robot foundation models and deploying them in the field, now running in laundromats and Din Tai Fung, folding 1590 table napkins a day. Jason leads the research, from DYNA-1 to DYNA-2 world-action model, the first to show scaling laws for human-video-to-robot transfer. Before Dyna, he did his PhD at UPenn's GRASP Lab and researched at DeepMind, NVIDIA and Meta AI, where his work included Eureka (LLM-driven reward design), VIP (visual rewards learned from video), Open X-Embodiment and DROID robot datasets.
