f you could delegate one repeatable part of your business to an AI agent, what should you build first?

AI agents are quickly moving from novelty to real operating leverage. But for founders and business owners, the bigger question isn’t: “Can I build an AI agent?” It’s: Which agent should I build first? What job should it perform? What information does it need? Where should a human stay involved? And how do I make sure it actually improves the business instead of creating more complexity? That’s what we’ll work through in this practical, hands-on AI Agent Sprint during Colorado Startup Week.

Tuesday, September 15

1:00–3:00 PM Catalyst Event Center 1881 35th Street, Denver, CO Featuring: Dr. Eric Goodman + Mamie-Jean Lamley

This Is a Build Session, Not an AI Hype Session

You’ll choose one real business workflow and design an AI agent around it. Possible use cases include:

  • Lead qualification
  • Customer onboarding
  • Proposal preparation
  • Meeting follow-up
  • Content repurposing
  • Internal reporting
  • Customer-support triage
  • Founder productivity
  • Other repetitive workflows in your own business

Rather than jumping straight into tools, we’ll start with the business problem.

You’ll define:

Purpose, What specific job should the agent perform? Trigger, What causes the workflow to begin? Inputs, What information, documents, or context does it need? Workflow, What steps should it complete? Human Review, Where should judgment stay with a person? Escalation Points, When should the agent stop and ask for help? Success Measures, How will you know whether it is actually working?

What You’ll Leave With

By the end of the two-hour sprint, you’ll have an:

Implementation-Ready AI Agent Brief

Not simply a list of ideas. You’ll have a structured blueprint you can use to begin building your agent in the AI platform or tool stack of your choice. The goal is for you to leave knowing: What to build. Why it matters. How it should work. Where humans stay involved. And what success should look like.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is especially useful for: Founders • Entrepreneurs • Business Owners • Consultants • Operators • Startup Teams • Business Leaders It’s particularly relevant if you:

  • Keep hearing about AI agents but aren’t sure where to start
  • Have repetitive work consuming valuable time
  • Want to improve follow-up, sales, service, operations, or productivity
  • Are experimenting with AI but want a more systematic approach
  • Want AI to create leverage without sacrificing quality, judgment, or trust

Why This Matters

The businesses that gain the most from AI won’t necessarily be the ones using the most tools. They’ll be the ones that identify the right workflows, establish the right guardrails, and combine automation with human judgment where it matters most.

Don’t leave with another AI idea.

Leave with an agent you’re ready to build.
