Campaign Lab's fortnightly evening hack night at Newspeak House in Bethnal Green. Campaign Lab is a community of progressive data scientists, researchers and activists building election tools and rethinking how political campaigning gets analysed.

The format is hands-on: people bring projects, pair on them and ship something over the evening. Explicitly open to newcomers, including people who are not data scientists.

Why go: one of the longest-running civic-tech communities in London and one of very few places where campaign data work gets done in the open. The regularity is the point — it is a community you can join rather than an event you attend once. Best for data people who want their skills pointed at something civic, and for anyone curious about how campaigns actually use data.
