The Middle East's largest AI hackathon, co-run by lablab.ai and /function1: an open online build sprint from October 26 to November 2, then selected builders are flown into Dubai for the invitation-only on-site build day plus a live stage demo and awards finale at the /function1 AI Conference on November 3. Six tracks span AI agents, decentralised AI and Web3, AI safety, and industry-specific applications, with partners including Google, Qdrant and AppliedAI. The 2025 edition drew 4,842 developers worldwide, so even the online phase buys you a seat in a serious builder community. On-site attendance is competitive and travel is not covered, so apply early with a shippable idea.
