🤖 Part of Zen Lab, a community exploring the intersection of Zen, technology, and working life in Silicon Valley.
This month, join us for a special panel discussion on one of the defining questions of our time:
How can we shape AI to serve the common good?
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly woven into our workplaces, communities, and daily lives, the question is no longer simply what AI can do but what it should do, and how we can ensure that these technologies genuinely support human flourishing.
🎤 Featuring:
Tom Kehler, AI pioneer, entrepreneur, and researcher exploring the future of collective intelligence. A longtime leader in the field since the early days of expert systems and AI, he has founded and led multiple technology ventures, including CrowdSmart. His current work explores how humans and AI can think, create, and solve complex problems together.
Jacob Hall Gordon, AI safety and policy researcher focused on helping shape a positive future for humanity in the age of artificial intelligence. His background spans technology entrepreneurship, social impact, and public policy, with a particular interest in how we can guide AI toward human flourishing and the common good.
Rev. William Thomas, Zen priest, founder of Zen Lab, and psychology researcher exploring how AI and technology are transforming human attention, agency, and our relationship with reality. His work brings contemplative wisdom into dialogue with AI, asking how we can develop technology without losing the capacities that support human flourishing.
