Welcome to our very first AI Engineer Kids Day in New York City. We’re thrilled to have you here! This special event brings together curious young minds and their families for a fun, hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence, coding, and technology.
We’re especially excited to welcome Cassandra Chin, an outstanding computer science graduate and author, who has led engaging workshops at conferences around the world. Cassandra will guide participants through interactive sessions designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and make complex ideas accessible and fun.
These workshops are recommended for kids aged 9 to 15, and parents are encouraged to join. Whether you’re completely new to AI or already curious about how things work behind the scenes, this is a chance to learn, explore, and create – together!

Learn AI by Making Games with Phippy! Taught by Cassandra Chin
What if you could dream up a game and bring it to life with AI? In this hands-on workshop, kids will team up with an AI coding assistant to create their own playable 2D games using the open source Godot game engine and colorful Phippy and Friends characters. From treasure hunts to tricky mazes, they’ll choose the adventure and help shape the rules. As they build, play, and improve their games, kids will practice giving AI clear instructions, checking its work, and solving problems when things don’t go as planned. Along the way, they’ll discover that AI can help write the code, but they’re the game designers in charge! No previous coding or game-making experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment, explore, and play!
Bio: Cassandra Chin is a keynote speaker, author, podcast host, and computer science student. She has led technology workshops for kids at international conferences since age 13 and is passionate about expanding access to tech education for women, minorities, and underserved communities.
