What is A36 Residency?

This is not a conference, a traditional hackathon, or a packed calendar of sessions.

The residency is designed to create the conditions for deep work, unexpected conversations, new collaborations, and meaningful progress.

The structure exists to support the people in the room, not compete with them.

You should come with something you genuinely want to move forward.

That could be a product, company, research direction, open-source project, protocol, experiment, or an idea that still needs shape.

What can you work on?

There is no narrow track.

We are interested in people exploring areas such as:

  • Web3 and digital infrastructure

  • Developer tools

  • Open source

  • Payments and fintech

We are intentionally not publishing a detailed agenda.

The residency may bring together builders, founders, researchers, mentors, operators, investors, and ecosystem teams at different moments.

There may be conversations, working sessions, technical support, reviews, shared meals, introductions, or spontaneous collaborations.

But the centre of the residency is not programming.

It is the people, the work, and the room.

Applications are reviewed individually.

Registration does not guarantee selection.

We are looking for people who are already in motion and who can add something meaningful to the room.

If selected, additional details about the residency, logistics, participation, and location will be shared directly before confirmation.

International Applicants

International applications are welcome.

Travel, visa, accommodation, and location-specific details will be shared once the next residency is announced.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring they can meet the final travel and entry requirements associated with the announced location.

After the Residency

The residency is temporary.

The relationships do not have to be.

A36 aims to create an environment where collaborations, friendships, companies, research, and future opportunities can continue long after people leave the room.
