π this week: effect TS edition (w/ Effect Miami)
we're teaming up with the Effect Miami crew to intro Effect: the toolkit for building robust, production-grade apps in TypeScript.
what is it: think of it as the "missing standard library" for TypeScript. it gives you type-safe error handling, retries, concurrency, and built-in tracing so the gnarly parts of real-world apps stop being haphazard.
why you'll care: fewer one-off dependencies, way less try/catch spaghetti, and if it compiles, it works. you can adopt it incrementally. No need to know functional programming to start.
