About Leon Flaksin
Leon Flaksin serves as Deputy Chief Audit Executive at BNY, where he oversees technology, artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. Prior to BNY, he held senior technology leadership roles at BlackRock and Morgan Stanley, building deep expertise at the intersection of financial services, technology, and enterprise risk.
Leon brings a unique perspective on how leading financial institutions evaluate emerging technologies, manage cybersecurity and operational risk, and select trusted technology partners. He will share practical insights on building enterprise ready companies and successfully engaging large financial institutions.

Amanda Parness is a Financial Advisor for Wealth Management at Jefferies – a leading full-service investment banking and capital markets firms. In this role, she provides insights and solutions to clients with institutional wealth who are in a moment of evolution. This focus is dual faceted. She has particular expertise in working with women who are experiencing independent wealth for the first time. As a former private equity investor, Amanda has deep experience with companies on the transaction path, and the founders and owners who experience significant liquidity events as a result. Amanda has more than 30 years of experience in investments. Prior to joining Jefferies, she founded a management consulting firm at the nexus of private equity and traditional investment banking for privately held companies and fund managers looking to rapidly accelerate growth. This experience gave her unique perspective on the complexities faced by businesses and individuals at pivotal financial events, and the solutions that drive success. Amanda’s experience also includes tenure at GoldPoint Partners, New York Life Insurance Company’s $17bn+ private equity investment arm, where she led deals, managed their Funds of Funds, and served on the investment committee. Amanda holds a master’s in finance from Columbia Business School, and a bachelor’s in economics and English literature from Barnard College. Highly active in the investment industry and in her community, she serves on now and previously has experience with boards of several financial services-focused, privately held corporate and not- for-profit entities, including Grand Founders, a not-for profit focused on helping underserved founders gain access to capital and mentorship, and Vintage Investment Partners Fund of Funds Strategic Advisory Board.
